Federal tax credits are available to
residential customers who
install small wind systems. The credits are available for systems placed
in service from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2016. The tax credit is
for 30% of the cost of the system, no cap.

The Ohio Department of Development announced that
grant money is available for residential wind energy projects in the
state of Ohio. To be eligible, a qualifying applicant must be
served by one of four investor-owned electric providers.
