Toledo Zoo Wind Turbine
Dr.
Anne Baker, Executive Director of the Toledo Zoo, presented the keynote
address at the turbine raising ceremony held on August 26, 2008.
The Zoo incorporated alternative energy into its parking lot renovation
project. Solar panels and a Skystream 3.7 wind turbine will
provide power for the ticket booths located off the Anthony Wayne Trail
entrance.
The Skystream sits atop a 60' tall monopole tower, next to the three
ticket booths. Staff from Green by Design was on hand to assist in
raising and setting the turbine.
