Homewood Press Now Using Wind Energy

The Skystream provides a portion of the power needs for Homewood's new, energy efficient building.	Green by Design Homewood Press Wind Turbine A Skystream 3.7 wind turbine was installed at Homewood Press in Toledo, Ohio on December 9, 2008. The turbine is installed on a 60' monopole tower. It provides a portion of the power needed for Homewood's new building, which was designed to be energy efficient. Alternative energy is one of the many environmental steps Homewood Press has taken over the past seven years. In addition to recycling paper and inks, the company has also pursued numerous industry certifications. Homewood is the only printer in the area to be certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC, Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP).
